Professor Dr. Marion Roberts is an Emeritus Professor of Urban Design at the University of Westminster, recognized for her influential research on the night-time economy, sustainable urban communities, and gender in city planning. With a background in architecture and social science, her career spans extensive research projects, advisory roles for local authorities and government, and contributions to the development of public policy on nightlife and urban management. Roberts' work has significantly shaped the understanding of how social issues intersect with urban environments, with a strong focus on alcohol, public space, and inclusive urban design.

Keynote speaker Adam Eldridge

Dr. Adam Eldridge is a senior lecturer in Sociology at the University of Westminster, London. He holds a PhD in Gender and Cultural Studies from the University of Sydney, Australia. His research focuses primarily on the ways the nocturnal city is experienced, planned for, and understood. Adam is co-author of Planning the Night-Time City (2009) with Marion Roberts, and co-edited Exploring Nightlife: Space, Society and Governance (2018) with Jordi Nofre, and Tourism and the Night: Rethinking Nocturnal Destinations (2021) with Andrew Smith. His current research investigates the idea of nocturnal belongings, warmth, and hospitality.

Professor Zahida Mammadova is a distinguished architect and scholar specializing in architectural history, heritage preservation, and urban design. A co-author of the landmark five-volume History of Azerbaijan Architecture, she has published extensively on the preservation and restoration of monuments. Recognized internationally, she is a full member of the Moscow branch of the International Academy of Architecture (2022) and recipient of the Jubilee Medal of the International Association of Architects Unions (2022). She holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Architecture and has contributed over 50 scientific works, including textbooks, training aids, and guidelines on architectural heritage.
